AHA Press offers materials designed to supplement classroom work and exercises in their coding and billing textbooks. Instructors from recognized academic institutions who are using AHA Press books can register to receive these training materials free of charge.
Available materials include PowerPoint slides (covering the key points of each chapter) and additional exercises for quizzes, tests, extra-credit work, and employee evaluations.
(Must be renewed each year.)
Desk/Review Copy Requests
We encourage instructors to request a complimentary review/desk copy of most popular textbook for coder training, the ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Coding Handbook, With Answers by Nelly Leon-Chisen, RHIA.
We’ve streamlined our processes and have eliminated the two-review copy limit per school, as well as the requirement that they must all be sent to the same address. This should help those educators who have more than two coding instructors and/or multiple campuses. Each instructor is allowed one complimentary copy of a title, and must submit a request form in order to initiate an order. Request forms with incomplete or inaccurate information will not be processed. Instructors may keep these complimentary copies regardless of adoption of the book in their classrooms.
Please return request forms to AHA Services per the instructions on the form. An email notification acknowledging receipt will be sent to the instructor’s email address within the same day. A second email that includes the UPS tracking number will be sent when the desk/review copy ships. Please allow 12 working days from receipt of the first email for the book to arrive.
Please note that it is prohibited, either individually or through a third party, to resell or reformat the data from any review copies received. The distribution of complimentary copies is at the discretion of AHA Press and may be limited or restricted at any time. Complimentary copies can only be shipped to educational institutions in U.S. locations. By requesting a complimentary copy from AHA Press, you affirm that all information provided is correct, agree under penalty of law that the book will not be sold or distributed, and agree to the billing terms on the request form.
